Happy New Year 2008 everyone! :D

I have a feeling this could be a good year... *knock on wood* At least the beginning of it will be amazing since I'm leaving for Oahu on Jan 25th. :D I'm so excited I'm driving every one crazy. 17 days of nothing but sun, sand, sea... and being surrounded by Lost locations! wohoo!

birthday

It's my birthday today so I thought I should probably post an entry... :) Though I'm not big on birthdays, or celebrations in the first place unless I for some reason feel giddy or something. :D I got a card and some money from my parents but all in all people seem to find it hard to remember my brithday. lol. It's not like the fact that it's my birthday, simply the date is hard to recall, I guess. I was on a walk with my friend today and even she was like 'wasn't it 24th?' and I was 'no!! it's today!!'. Gee people, how hard can it be? *rolleyes* But I won't take it personally.

But then I come online and I have a whole bunch of happy birthdays popping up on my screen. <3 It felt so nice, I can't even tell. I can't believe how meaningful some people have become to me during this a little over a year I've spent squeeing over Lost and Jate here. Thank you! :D

Tomorrow I'll finally start to work, which is great cause almost 6 months of sitting on my ass are probably enough... lol. I'd like to think it's been useful though, I think I got to know me a little better cause there wasn't much I had to occupy myself with (except Lost and Jate ;) so it was good.

say bye bye for a little while

My best friend left today for Thailand. She's gonna spent the next two months there and I'm gonna miss her so much. It's just weird cause we live just two houses apart and have been seeing each other pretty much every day since... forever really, we've known each other our entire lives. We've been growing up together and it feels weird that I can't just pick up the phone and blabber with her for a couple of months.

But she's gonna have a good time there and I'll be fine here :) I guess I wish I could just do the same, say bye-bye for my daily life here in cold Scandinavia and pick up and leave for somewhere sunny where you can dip your toes to the ocean and feel the warm breeze... mmm... lol :D My time will come though, I just have to be patient which is something I'm getting quite good at actually, thanks to Lost's insanely long hiatus and the fact that I ship jate. Cause the word 'jater' is actually a synonyme for 'patient', it'll be added to the official English dictionary any day now. ;)

So I decided to finally get lj :D We'll see how this turns out to be...

I'm a huge jater and lost fan so I'll be posting mainly about them but since I'm at kinda special place in my own life, at crossroads should I say :P, I'll probably also be trying to find some sense to the ravings of my crazy mind by writing here so beware. ;)
